Antique French 18k yellow gold stick pin. Featuring a 3 dimensional figure of a bee. Beautifully crafted, the bee is holding a diamond, and set with a ruby in the center, the elegant wings decorated with diamond chips. Circa 1860's-1880's. Hallmarked with the horse head control mark indicating 18k gold content, in use in France from 1838 to 1919. Measures 2 1/2" length. Weighs 1.1 grams. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with use and age. Housed in an old presentation box. The box measures 3 1/4" length x 1 1/8" wide.
