Antique Victorian era hand carved wood sculptural wall shelf. Centered by a hand carved fierce roaring visage of a dragon or stylized lion, flanked by mythological chimera beasts. Embellished with scrolling foliate and openwork. The flat mount on top having a serpentine beveled edge. Measures 13 7/8" height x 14" length x 7 1/2" deep. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age, roughness/nipping to the very bottom tip, the back with an old repair that is partially visible from the front.
