Antique Spanish damascene parasol umbrella handle set. This beautiful Toledo oxidized steel handle is fashioned in an elegant scrolled T shape, encrusted with intricate 24 karat yellow gold wire inlay. Patterned with multiple borders framing panels of flowers, leaves and scrolling trellises, surrounding the characterizing chimera or winged dragon on top. The quality work speaks for the Zoluagas workshop from Eibar and is a super example of the Spanish Toledo art. The handle is beautiful alone, and could very well be suited as a dress cane handle. In good antique condition with general wear. Handle measures 3 3/8" length. Housed in a fitted presentation box, together with seven gilt spokes (one missing). Box measures 5 3/8" x 3 3/4" x 1 3/4" height.
