
Antique Belle Epoque era French silver parasol or dress cane handle. Decorated an engine turned guilloche engraved polka dot pattern with applied floral garland swags, neoclassical wreaths and ribbon bows. The silver handle is mounted on an ebonzied wooden handle with a threaded base. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, some indentations and scuffing to the very top of the handle as shown. Hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar indicating a minimum silver finesse of .800/1000 silver. Also bearing maker's mark for silversmith Anton Salomon, active 1901-1912 at 260 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris. Measures 12 3/4" total length. The silver handle measures 4 1/4" length x 1 1/8" wide x 7/8" deep.
