A superb antique Victorian to Edwardian desktop wax seal. Modeled in the form of a horse's leg with saddle and hoof. Finely casted and modeled in the form of a horse's leg with saddle and hoof. The hoof bearing an engraved matrix with a crown and monogrammed of interlaced initials HH in elegant script. Appears to be casted from a white or silvered metal, finished to resemble aged copper and brass. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, a slight indention to the bottom edge of the hoof. Measures 3 3/8" length.
