Signed lower left R. Mourmant. Dated 1963 at the lower right. Partial label indicates the painting was exhibited in the 51st National Salon at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent in 1965. Painting is titled 'Hondje', meaning puppy or little dog in Dutch. In overall good vintage condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, some paint loss to the edge that will mostly likely be hidden once framed. Measures 15 3/4" x 11 7/8". The 51e Nationaal Salon voor Schone Kunsten (51st National Salon of Fine Arts) was a major art exhibition held in Ghent, Belgium, from October 2 to November 14, 1965.
