A gorgeous Art Nouveau French sterling silver 12 piece set of spoons for tea or coffee time. The handles are beautifully crafted, patterned with a lovely motif of iris flowers set among sinuous swirling leaves and stems. Blank cartouches on those exquisite handles, just perfect to have personalized with your own engraved monogram.

Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver of .950/1000 purity in use from 1838 (95% pure silver and a higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for Parisian silversmith Charles Vincent, active from 1889 till 1922 at 47 rue des Blancs-Manteaux in Paris. 

In good condition with general wear. Spoons measure 5 1/8" length. Total silver weight of 271.8 grams. The set is complete and housed within a cream satin lined and fitted presentation box, likely original. Box showing its age, with some bowing at the close as shown, and measures 13 3/8" x 7" x 1 5/8".
