
Art Deco French Limoges porcelain coffee pot with sterling silver hinged lid. The coffee pot features a pattern of stylized Art Deco floral motifs in blue, yellow and black. This particular pattern was a special edition made exclusively for Tetard, as a collaboration between La Porcelaine Limousine and the famous silversmith firm. Marked to the base in green with PL Limoges France, for the La Porcelaine Limousine factory, this mark in use after 1906. Marked in red TF in a circle for Tétard Frères. The silver mounts bearing hallmarks of the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of 950/1000. Bearing makers marks for Tétard frères, active from 1903 at 4 rue Béranger in Paris. In overall good vintage condition, general wear/signs of use. No chips or cracks. Measures 8 1/4" height x 7 3/4" length from handle to spout x 4 5/8" wide.
