Stunning antique Napoleon III era French gilt bronze tri-fold table top / vanity mirror. The freestanding gilt bronze frame features a pair of hinged doors, one on top of the other. Both clad in leather covering. The front door is surmounted with finely detailed appliques. Including neoclassical Grecian wreathes with ribbon bows, Imperial eagles and dancing female figures. Opening to reveal three thick beveled glass mirrors. Flanked by ornamental pillars and conical finials. Richly decorated throughout in ornate neoclassical patterned friezes. Hinged folding easel to the back. Perfect on a vanity or dressing table surrounded by a collection perfume bottles and silver brushes. Stands 15 7/8" tall x 10 5/8" wide. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. The side pillars are slightly bent, and there is a small lack to one ormolu applique (the hand on one of the female figures), as shown. No chips or cracks to the beautiful thick glass mirrors. Measures 9 1/2" length x 13 7/8" height, 22 1/4" length when fully opened.
