Antique French Belle Epoque era .800 silver & cut crystal perfume bottle. Featuring an exquisite cut crystal body in a tear drop shape, with slender narrow neck terminating to bulbous base. Having silver mounts with elegant form and styling, enhanced in gilt vermeil finish. Comprising of a silver hinged lid and collar decorated in intricate guilloche engraving. Monogrammed with interlaced initials MS or SM. Opening to reveal the original glass stopper. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with use and age. Hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. The mark was typically used on small objects of at least 80% silver content, close to .925 sterling. Also bearing a maker's mark. Measures 4 1/2" length x 1 9/16" wide x 1/2" thick.
