Charming set of four antique French sterling silver mounted cut crystal open salt cellars. Crafted from quality cut crystal enhanced with wheel cut fluting. The rims decorated with exquisite reticulated sterling silver mounts. Patterned in a shamrock clover motif.
Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver of .950/1000 purity in use from 1838 (95% pure silver and higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for silversmith Edmond Molle, active from 1898-1919 at 114 rue du Temple.
