Antique Belle Epoque era French sterling silver and cut glass tumbler cup. Featuring exquisite spiral fluted cut glass tumbler surmounted with ornate sterling base richly decorated Louis XV/Rococo style rocailles and foliate. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, in use from 1838, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her denoting a silver content of .950/1000 (of 95% silver and a higher grade of finesse than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Measures 3 5/8" height x 2 3/8" diameter opening. Maker's mark for silversmith Alphonse Debain, 1883-1911, at 79 rue du Temple, Paris. In overall good condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, no chips or cracks to the glass cup. There is an indention to the edge of the silver base rim.
