Rare antique Victorian era black forest hand carved wood pair of curtain holdback or tiebacks. Comprising of a roundel with a lovely decorative edge, centered by solid carved wood dog heads. Featuring two hunting dogs, one appears to be a setter and the other a bloodhound. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. There are age-related cracks to the back posts. Some rubbing/nicks to the tips of the decorative edging on the roundels. Measures 7" length x 6" diameter. The bloodhound head measures 4 1/4" x 3 5/8" x 2 3/8" deep. Setter measures 4 1/4" x 4" x 2 1/8" deep.
