Antique 19th century French wax seal featuring a solid agate stone handle exhibiting rich color and banding decorated with an ornate embossed silver mount. The matrix featuring a cross with the words C'est Mon Appeau (This is my support). In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Marked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Measures 3 1/8" x 7/8" wide, matrix measures 7/16" x 3/8".
