Antique 19th century wax seal in the form of a wolf's head entirely crafted in silver with 18K yellow gold accents. Highly detailed, including expressive facial features and texturized fur. With mouth open in a wide toothy grin exposing a gold tongue and rows of tiny gold teeth. A pair of cabochon rubies serve as the eyes, giving this wolf an intense gaze. A gold collar adorns the neck. The matrix base is bloodstone and bears a monogram of interlaced initials EJ or JE. In overall good antique condition. Unmarked, tested for silver and gold. Measures 1" length, 11/16" x 9/16" oval matrix base.
