Antique French miniature portrait painting of a lady with a mask. Dressed in a white gown, feather plumed hat and gloves, beside her is a bouquet of blue flowers, against a red curtain background, ready for the masquerade ball. Signed lower left M Cauvin and dated 1907. Housed under glass in a gilt bronze frame with neoclassical wreath and ribbon finial. Hinged easel back for table top display and loop ring for hanging. Frame measures 6 3/8" x 4 1/8". Portrait measures 4 7/8" x 3 1/2" (sight). In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use.
