Lovely early 1900s Sitzendorf German porcelain Dresden figure group. Representing a charming courting couple in period dress. Together with a pair of fabulous Borzoi wolf hounds anticipating a tasty treat. Impressive modeling with finely detailed features. Beautifully hand painted throughout with vibrant colors and lovely hues, further enhanced by gold gilt accents. Bearing the Sitzendorf mark used between 1902 to 1918, identified by the elaborate crown with hollow pearls above serifed 'S'. Marked in gold with Germany in a circle with a star. In overall very good condition, only flaw to note is a repair to the thumb on the gentleman's hand as shown. Large size, the figure measures 9 1/2" length x 5 1/8" width x 9" tall.
