Set of 12 antique French sterling silver set of dessert spoons or for tea and coffee. Beautifully crafted, patterned with a Rococo motif that includes rocailles, scalloped forms and C-scrolls. Engraved en verso with interlaced initials LJ in lovely script. Finished with vermeil bowls.

Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver of .950/1000 purity in use from 1838 (95% pure silver and a higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for Parisian silversmith Charles Vincent, active from 1889 till 1922 at 47 rue des Blancs-Manteaux in Paris.

The set is complete and in good condition with general wear. Spoons measure 4 7/8" length. Total silver weight of 200.9 grams. Housed in the original fitted presentation box, showing its age. Box measures 11 5/8" x 7 7/8".
