Art Deco sterling silver and 14k gold gem set compact mirror by Gorham. Patterned with exquisite geometric Art Deco styling, the lid enhanced with a 14k yellow gold mount decorated with three channel set sapphires. Opening to a mirrored compartment and powder well. Marked for Spaulding - Gorham, Sterling & 14K. The Spaulding Company of Chicago IL was owned by Gorham in the late 1920's to 1943 and went under the name Spaulding-Gorham during that time. Measures 2 3/8" square. In overall good vintage condition with wear commensurate with use and age, a small shallow dimple visible at the bottom.
