Stunning vintage Italian 800 silver double inkwell by Rino Greggio. Richly decorated with rococo styling in embossed relief. With two scalloped seashells comprising the center wells, framed by stylized acanthus and alternating scrolling foliage. The inkstand holds two removable inkwells with decorative knob lids, all entirely crafted in .800 silver. In overall good to excellent condition with general wear commensurate with use. Measures 7 3/8" length x 6 7/8" width x 2 1/2" height. Weighs 174 grams. The inkstand, two inkwells and lids bear Italian hallmarks. Circa 1970.
