Antique bronze or brass figural wax seal desk stamp. In the form of a hand holding a pistol about to fire, the wrist and arm covered by a thick heavy coat sleeve. Beautifully solid casted and modelled with fine realism. The base surmounted with a copper matrix of a crest or familial coat of arms, identified for the family clan Pobóg, a Polish nobility coat of arms. The blazon is as follows: Azure, a horse-shoe argent with a cross formed of the same charged on the edge of its arch. Helmet with mantling azure, lined argent. Crowned. Crest: a demi greyhound rampant, collared and leashed, all proper. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age. Measures 3 3/8" length, the matrix measures 5/8" x 7/16" oval.
