A superb Belle Époque / Victorian era antique French 18K yellow gold and platinum figural stick pin encrusted with sparkling diamonds.
Featuring (28) rose cut diamonds, at 1.25mm x 1.00mm and approximately .28cts. Set into a platinum topped 18k yellow gold star. Centered by a larger round 3.96mm rose cut diamond, approx. .25ct. Having a ported back, allowing light to pass freely through each diamond, resulting in greater brilliance and shine as the pin is worn.
Hallmarked with the French control mark indicating 18k gold content, in the form of an eagle's head, in use in France from 1838.. Also bearing a goldsmith's marks. In very good condition. Housed in an old fitted presentation box that is likely original. The presentation box shows some wear commensurate with age. The pin measures 3" length. The weight of the pin is 3.8 grams.
