An antique French 18K yellow gold mounted solid rock crystal quartz parasol handle. The tapering rock crystal handle decorated with two 18K gold mounts. Together with eight gold parasol spoke tips. Circa 1910. Housed in the original green leather fitted presentation box monogrammed R.C. Retailed by Maison Urgel, successor of jeweler J. Lautier of 73 rue de la Pomme in Toulouse. The two decorative gold bands on the handle, as well as each individual spoke tip, is hallmarked with the French eagle standard in use after 1838, denoting a finesse of 18k gold. In good condition, the presentation box showing wear commensurate with age. Some roughness to the very bottom end of the handle from use. Handles measures 2 5/8" length. Spoke tips are 3/4" length. Box measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/8" x 1 3/4" height.
