Antique 19th century French .800 silver figural egg cup. Featuring a finely modeled base comprising of two hens or chicks figures. Exquisite detail and rendering to the animalier figures. Hallmarked with hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Also bearing a silversmith's mark. In overall good antique condition with general wear. Measures 2 3/8" height x 1 5/8" diameter opening. Weighs 56.9 grams.
