Antique French .800 silver umbrella parasol handle set, or dress cane handle in the box. The ovoid egg shaped handle features an elegant motif of Art Nouveau style foliage. Finely housed in the original presentation box together with eight spoke tips, a steel tipped ferrule and shank or runner ring. The handle, runner and ferrule are hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Bearing maker's marks for Eugène Lefebvre, active 1896 to 1910 at 14 bis rue des Minimes, Paris. In overall good antique condition, there are a couple of shallow dimples to the handle. The box showing wear commensurate with age. Handle measures 2 1/4" length x 7/8" width x 1/2" diameter opening. The box measures 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 2 1/8" height.
