Antique French .800 silver umbrella parasol handle or dress cane handle. The handle features an elegant curved form decorated with Art Nouveau style flowers. Patterned with morning glories and leaves on scrolling vines with sinuous tendrils. Included is a cartouche mount to adorn a handle or cane staff, featuring a monogram of initial letter A surrounded by ornate reticulated vines and leaves. The handle and the cartouche are both hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Handle measures 2 7/8" length. In overall good condition and finely housed in the original presentation box together with eight spoke tips. Box measures 3 5/8" square x 1 1/2" tall.
