Antique French .800 silver & cut crystal perfume bottle. Featuring an exquisite cut crystal body in a tear drop shape, with slender narrow neck terminating to bulbous base. Having silver mounts with elegant form and styling. Comprising of a silver hinged lid, collar, the body encased in intricate engraved and pierce work. Opening to reveal a glass stopper with dauber. Beautiful throughout. In overall good condition with general wear commensurate with use. Hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. The mark was typically used on small objects of at least 80% pure silver content, close to .925 sterling. 10.5cm length
