Antique 19th century French .800 silver photo locket pendant. The oval shaped locket features exquisite filigree front and back, with an intricate pattern of alternating scrolls and pierced openwork. The locket opens to reveal a hinged glass door within. Hallmarked with the French head of the wild boar, in use from 1838 to indicate a silver content of .800/1000. Measures 1 5/8” x 1”. Weighs 9.5 grams. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. The locket closes with a nice 'snap'. Of note is that the glass panel inside does have a scratch to the bottom at the 5 'o' clock position, visible in the pictures.
