An extraordinary antique 19th century French casted bronze religious icon wall hanging plaque. Beautifully casted from bronze, enhanced with silvered and gold gilding. The finely detail plaque in relief depicting Christ pointing to His Sacred Heart. Each of the four points of the cross decorated with foliage and emphasized in contrasting gold and silver gilt. Mounted on a wooden backing with red velvet mat. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, there is wear the silvering on the hands and face, and wear to the velvet. Measures 12 3/4” height x 11 1/2” wide x 2 1/2” deep.
