Antique French Sevres ceramic cabinet vase by Paul Jean Milet, son of Felix Optatus Milet. Optat Milet began his career as a modeler for Sèvres in 1862, and opened his own ceramics factory in 1866. His son Paul Jean Milet took over operations shortly before the turn of the century and ran the company until 1931. Featuring cobalt blue ground decorated with Empire style gilt bronze mounts with garland festoons. Marked MP for Paul Millet and Sevres, within a dotted circle, this mark was in use circa 1911. In overall good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Stands 3 1/8" height x 2 1/8" wide x 1 1/4" diameter opening.
