Antique French Sevres ceramic cabinet vase by Paul Jean Milet, son of Felix Optatus Milet. Optat Milet began his career as a modeler for Sèvres in 1862, and opened his own ceramics factory in 1866. His son Paul Jean Milet took over operations shortly before the turn of the century and ran the company until 1931. Moon flask shaped vase featuring a sophisticated stippled glaze of poudré blue lapis lazuli color ground. Richly decorated with finely detailed ormolu mounts comprising of ornate floral garland festoon at the center and decorative rim at the top and base. Bearing an early Paul Milet mark of MP Sevres, circa 1900-1920s. In overall good condition with no chips or cracks. Stands 4 1/4" height x 3 3/4" wide x 1" diameter opening.
