Antique late 19th century French sterling silver set of 4 exquisite hors d'oeuvre or bonbon servers featuring a beautifully engraved spreader and 3-pronged fork, as well as an elaborately pierced serving spoon and flat server- all housed in their original presentation box. The handles are patterned with elegant florals, rocailles and stylized foliage. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with use and age. Please see pictures for dimensions and weight. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, in use from 1838 the mark depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to indicate a silver content of .950/1000 silver (95% silver and a higher grade of finesse than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for silversmith Adolphe Boulenger, active 1876-1899 at 4 rue du Vert-Bois,
