Antique Belle Epoque era French sterling silver napkin ring. Decorated in repousse with a neoclassical style pattern comprising of a blank asymmetrical cartouche framed by rocailles and stylized foliage, flanked on the sides by a motif of leaves and berries. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of 950/1000 (of 95% silver and a higher finesse than .925 sterling). Bearing maker's marks for silversmiths for Olier & Caron, active from 1910-1936 at 39 rue de Turbigo, Paris. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Measures 2" diameter x 1 3/8" height. Weighs 43.3 grams.
