Exquisite antique Belle Epoque era French sterling silver napkin ring richly decorated in Louis XV/Rocco styling. Featuring exquisite repousse and superb pierced lattice. Spiral fluted body enhanced with rocailles. Patterned with ornate scrolling foliage, rocailles and floral accents. Centered by an asymmetrical cartouche with engraved monogram of interlaced initials MG. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, in use from 1838, which guaranteed the finest quality silver of .950/1000 purity (95% pure silver and a higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling). Maker's marks for Paul Bouton & Cie, active from 1896 to 1904 at 148 rue du Temple, Paris. In overall good condition with general wear. Measures 2" diameter x 1 1/2" height. Silver weighs 49.8 grams.
