Antique hand carved wood wall plaque or fragment of an altarpiece. Carved walnut wood in high relief showing the Deposition of Christ from the Cross, 13th Station of the Cross depicting the body Jesus taken down from the cross and laid in the arms of his mother Mary. In overall good antique condition with general wear, age related cracks to the wood, the extended hand on lower left figure appears to have been re-glued at one point in time.
