Gorgeous antique pastel portrait depicting a child. Her angelic face bright and illuminated against the dark green shaded background. Wrapped around her shoulders is a fur lined shawl; the artist incorporated hints of lights and shadow to convey cascades of folds giving it the appearance of luxurious silk. Tenderly nestled in her arm is a kitten. Such a lovely image and quite charming. A well done pastel drawing by a truly skilled hand. Signed BZG. Housed protectively under glass within a carved and gilded wood oval frame. In good antique condition. Some wear to the frame with lacks to the decorative trim as shown.
