
William IV sterling silver and gilt vinaigrette pendant by silversmiths Taylor and Perry. Rectangular form, with engine turned engraving, blank rectangular cartouche, elaborate floral thumbpiece. Opening to a silver gilt interior with exquisite pierced and engraved grille. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1835. Maker's marks for silversmiths John Taylor and John Perry, successors to Joseph Taylor, 1830-1849 at Newhall Street in Birmingham. Measures (sans bail) 1 3/8" x 1" x 3/8", hangs 1 3/4" with bail. Weighs 19g. In overall very good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use.
