Antique 19th century French cut crystal perfume bottle or scent bottle vinaigrette with chatelaine. The bottle is of thick, quality crystal and features beautiful cut paneling and faceted edges. Encased in silver plated metal framework. Surrounded by ornate scrolling foliate and rosettes, the decoration is reminiscent of the Renaissance. Centered by a charming vignette allegorizing music. The hinged lid is topped by fine reticulated filigree. Lacking a stopper. Suspended from a chatelaine hook and watch chain below. The hook features intricate foliage and a vignette with gardening implements, including a watering can, hat, scythe and trailing ivy. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, no chips or cracks to the lovely perfume bottle.
