
Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette box from renowned British silversmith George Unite. Features rectangular shape with serpentine edging. Exquisite engraving to the lid and base with an intricate pattern of ivy leaves. Bearing an engraved monogram of initials HEH. Opens to reveal a silver gilt interior with pierced and engraved grille decorated with scrolling. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1889, maker's mark GU for George Unite. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Two gaps to the side top and bottom edge on the right side as shown. Measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 7/16". Weighs 28.2g.
