Barry Kieselstein-Cord sterling silver "Rodeo" longhorn steer belt buckle features the designer's iconic Western trophy presentation motif. The focal point is a highly sculptural, three-dimensional longhorn steer skull executed in high relief. Flanked by two prominent, smooth, rounded sterling silver bosses (studs) that add symmetrical balance. Surmounted to a a domed, oval plate featuring a richly textured, deeply oxidized ground that provides a dark contrast to the polished elements. The entire perimeter is wrapped in a classic, tightly wound twisted rope border to reinforce its Southwestern character. The reverse side is stamped marks for Barry Kieselstein-Cord, moon star hallmark, Sterling, U.S.A alongside a copyright year (1989) and a limited production serial number. Measures 3" x 1 7/8" oval and fits belt straps up to 1" wide. Weighs 66 grams.
