French Chinoiserie porcelain and bronze candelabra boudoir lamp. Circa 1920s. Featuring a Qing Dynasty export porcelain statue depicting the Laughing Buddha (Budai) with vibrant enamel floral and geometric details in the Chinese Famille Rose palette. Mounted on a French Rococo style bronze base with wire stems and leaves scattered with hand painted porcelain flowers. Flanked on the sides by faux candlesticks. Topped by tapered lamp shades in a textured champagne/gold fabric with velvet trim and bows. Marked to the base Made in France. In overall good antique to vintage condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Some scattered nicks to the porcelain flowers, possible one or two flowers missing from the stems. Looking at the Buddha, there is a touch up repair to the hand. The lamp is currently wired for US standard. For all vintage lamps, we recommend professional rewiring. Dimensions with lamp shades, 15 1/8" length x 7" deep x 11" height.
