Vintage gold-tone locket pendant features a lucky horseshoe shape. Likely pinchbeck. Each side showcases a carved shell cameo with side profile portrait of a lady. The horseshoe border is accented with raised square studs, mimicking the look of traditional horseshoe nails. Hinged locket mechanism opens and closes smoothly. Opening to a pair of glass panel inserts to display a photo or lock of hair. Attached to short chain link at the top for easy hanging. In overall good condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, a couple of dimples to the sides as shown. There are nicks to the glass panels along the interior edges. Hangs 2 1/8" total length, pendant is 1 1/8" x 1" wide. The cameos measures 3/4" x 1/2" oval. Will hold a picture measures 7/8" x 3/4".
