There is a written notation on the back, with the name of the sitter believed to be Captain Strefford or Stafford, and the words 'Time George III' coinciding with the reign of King George III (1760-1820). In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Some indentions to the back and a small scratch to the back glass oval aperture located just below the gold monogram. Frame is unmarked but tested as 14K.
