Charming vintage French .800 silver sewing thimble. Featuring an embossed band decorated with rose garlands surrounding two love birds on the front. Circa 1940s. Measures 1" height x 5/8" diameter opening. Stamped with the crab hallmark in use from 1838-1962 for small articles made in the French provinces to guarantee a minimum fineness of .800/1000 silver (minimum 80% pure silver in the alloy). In overall good vintage condition with no dents or holes to the thimble.
