A delightful pair of French 18K yellow gold earrings. In the form of a woman wearing an intricate folded headscarf, earrings and necklace. These earrings have fish hook settings to the back. Hallmarked on the hook with the French eagle standard in use after 1838, denoting a finesse of 18k gold. Also bearing a goldsmith’s mark, though partially worn the mark appears to be for jewelers Spieds Vve et Cie, active circa 1920 at 167 rue du Temple, Paris. These earrings are eye catching when worn. Light and easy to wear for daytime and beautiful for any occasion. From the fishhook down the earrings measure a total of 1 ¾” length. The front measures 1 ½” length x 1” wide. In overall good vintage condition with general wear commensurate with age/use. Some bends to the fishhook wires.
