Charming antique to vintage early 20th century French sterling silver figural egg cup. Unique and beautifully crafted to resemble a cracked egg shell standing on three finely casted legs with duck feet. In overall good condition, general wear and scratches commensurate with use and age. Measures 2" height x 1 5/8" diameter opening. Weighs 34.1 grams. Marked with the post 1838 French Minerva 1st standard hallmark indicating .950/1000 silver (95% pure silver and higher than .925 sterling). Silversmith marks are for Pierre Bezon, active from 1913 to 1921 at 13 rue Portefoin, then at 72 rue des Archives, Paris.
