Exquisite French sterling silver 3 piece fish serving set. Comprising of a large serving fork, knife and sauce or gravy ladle. Entirely crafted from quality silver. Each with classical handles enhanced with acanthus foliage, oak leaves and acorns. Monogrammed with interlaced initials DB or BD. The knife blade and back of the fork tines are richly decorated with engraved scrolling foliage. In good condition with signs of general use. Total silver weighs 311.5 grams. Serving knife measures 12" length; Fork is 8 3/4" length; Sauce ladle measures 6 5/8". Each piece is hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver of .950/1000 purity in use from 1838 (95% pure silver and a higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling).
