Outstanding set of 12 French sterling silver cordial goblets, circa early 1900's. Elegant Art Deco styling, with slender stems terminating to circular pedestal bases. Gold vermeil finish to the interiors. The cordials are capable of holding about 1.5 fl oz or about the same as a shot glass. These exquisite sterling silver cordial goblets are perfect for schnapps, apéritifs or after-dinner liqueurs. Fully hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st standard mark, which depicts the head of the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of .950/1000 (almost 95% pure silver and higher than the standard .925 for sterling). Maker's mark for silversmiths Bardies Faure & Cie, active 1918-1920 at 13 rue des Fontaines-du-Temple, Paris. In overall good vintage condition with general wear. Stands 3 3/4" height, 1 1/4" diameter opening x 1 1/2" diameter base. Total silver weight is 390 grams.
