A stunning and rare 19th century Bohemian intaglio cut to clear footed casket, perfect for storing letters on your writing desk or place among your collection for all to see. Box sits in a stand, which is removable, with four ball feet topped with a bow and the bottom of the box is embellished with engraved grapes and leaves twined together. The domed lid has a beautiful intaglio of a galloping stag with two frightened doe, the sides of the box with a cut scene of a hound dog hunting in the woods and a setting composed of a few flying birds. This special piece of artwork is believed to be made by Moser as the intaglio cut is similar to the boxes and glassware done by his employees, either Edward Hoffmann or Rudolf Hiller. Both are known for their engraved figural hunting scenes and historical characters. Measures 7 1/2" in Height, including the stand, 11 1/4" in Length and 7 3/8" at it's Widest. Condition is very good for it's age
