Pair of antique late 19th century French ormolu mounted glass vases. Unique form to the vases richly decorated in neoclassical style mounts. Comprising of of reticulated frieze borders patterned with flowers and scrolling leaves, the decoration including rosettes and palmettes with the sides flanked by abundant cornucopias. The front and back with the same motif of the goddess Aphrodite gazing into a mirror, an allegory for love and beauty. The vases are raised and supported by stylized winged feet. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, no chips or cracks to the glass. The vases stand 6 5/8" height x 3 5/8" length x 1 3/4" wide.
